Company History
From a single office serving a handful of local families to a network spanning 55 branches, our growth has always been guided by the needs of the community rather than expansion for its own sake Port City Nidhi Ltd is a Public Limited Company, established in the year 1994 under Section 620-A of the Indian Companies Act (1956). The Registered Office Address is 21 D/2, WGC Road, Tuticorin. The company has currently 55 branches across the state of Tamilnadu while they own the land and building premises for their branches in Tuticorin, Puthiamputhur, Kayalpatnam, Kurumbur, Alangulam, Sankarankoil, and Udangudi. With more than 33 successful years of providing financial services to the members of our community, we have extended our reach and gained the trust of people by opening up 55 branches across the state. It was in the year 1994, when Mr. A.M.M.A Jeyaraj and his son Mr. J. Suriyamurthy, noticed that the people living in the rural parts of Tamilnadu are being deprived of the opportunity to avail the benefits of banking and financial services. With an aim to end this disparity of social and economic opportunities in the area, the father-son duo took the responsibility and laid down the foundation of Port City Nidhi Ltd in Tuticorin. This company was founded on the principle of mutual growth of the community and the mutual support of its members. Owing to the consistent efforts of this family and their subsequent generations along with the members of the community, this company has now expanded to 55 branch locations across the state and plans to further expand aggressively in the coming years..

Chief Executive OfficerAs the Founder and current CEO, Mr. J. Suriyamurthy brings in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in financial markets and services. With a degree in Commerce and a strong understanding of banking gained at Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank, he laid the foundation of the company in 1994 to reduce financial disparity in Tamil Nadu's underserved areas.

Managing DirectorAs the elder son of Mr. J. Suriyamurthy, he joined the company after completing his MBA in Bangalore and efficiently oversees all operational and lending functions as Director of Port City Nidhi Ltd., also driving business promotion across Australia and Japan.
Vigneswara Vijayaram M.B.A.,
DirectorHolding an MBA from Australia, he oversees operational and administrative functions.He founded Port City Impex in 2014 and serves as President of AICCI – Young Minds, Tuticorin.
